With a buttery texture and a hint of vanilla, Fork Biscuits are perfect for those moments when you crave something sweet but uncomplicated. Whether enjoyed on their own or enhanced with a dip in dark chocolate, these biscuits are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

  • 100g salted butter, softened
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150g self-raising flour
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted (optional)

Method of cooking:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, caster sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

Gradually add the self-raising flour until you have a dough.

Roll the dough into small balls, about the size of a walnut, and place on the prepared baking tray.

Press each ball down with a fork to flatten and create a pattern.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cookies are light golden.

Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

When the cookies have cooled, dip them in the melted dark chocolate or drizzle the chocolate over them.

Place the chocolate coated cookies in the fridge for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
