Ingredients

  • Graham bread rolls – 3 pieces
  • Feta cheese – 100 g
  • Red tomato – 4 pieces
  • Olive oil – 50 ml
  • Dried oregano – 5 g
  • Salt – 4 g
  • Black pepper – 2 g
  • Kalamata olives – 100 g

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Bread Slice the bread rolls and drizzle each half with olive oil. Arrange them on a baking sheet and toast for 5-10 minutes (checking the degree of browning).

Step 2: Grate the Tomatoes Grate the tomatoes using a grater with large holes to obtain a watery sauce with tomato chunks. Transfer to a bowl.

Step 3: Grate the Feta Cheese Wash and dry the grater carefully, then grate the feta cheese. Place the grated cheese in another bowl.

Step 4: Arrange the Ingredients on the Rusks Evenly spread the grated tomatoes on the rusks, then cover them with grated feta cheese.

Step 5: Season the Dakos Drizzle the rusks with an additional portion of olive oil, sprinkle with oregano, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Arrange Kalamata olives or other dark olives on top.

Step 6: Chill the Rusks Place the prepared dakos in the refrigerator for a while (about 10 minutes) to allow the bread to soak up the tomato juice and olive oil.
