Chocolate Croissant Pudding

Sweet buttery croissants in an unusual form make for a delightful breakfast. With this, you’ll start every day off right!

Ingredients

  • Croissants – 4 pieces
  • Eggs – 4 pieces
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Dark chocolate – 100 g
  • Heavy cream (30%) – 300 g
  • Butter – 1 teaspoon
  • Milk – 150 ml

Preparation

Butter the heatproof dish thoroughly, with dimensions approximately 20 x 25 cm. Slice the croissants into thick slices and transfer them to the dish. Break the chocolate into pieces and insert them between the croissant slices. In a bowl, mix eggs thoroughly with milk, cream, and sugar. Pour the mixture over the croissants in the dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for an hour.

After an hour, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the pudding for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle the top with a bit of powdered sugar. Serve warm.
