Burrata Appetizer

Serve as an appetizer with bread or as one of the snacks on the table.


  • 2 balls of burrata in brine
  • 150 g dried ham or Italian cured meats
  • A few apricots
  • A handful of blueberries, cherries, or raspberries
  • 1 tomato
  • Basil and mint
  • Extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper
  • Bread


Arrange the ingredients sequentially on a rectangular or square plate: sliced apricots with mint leaves, pieces of burrata, blueberries or halved and pitted cherries or raspberries with mint leaves.

Then, add the cured meats interspersed with basil leaves, more burrata, and sliced tomatoes. Season the tomatoes with salt, preferably from a grinder.

Season the entire dish with coarsely ground pepper and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
