Gourmet Grilling Burgers


Grilled food is delicious for anyone, anytime. Any occasion is a good time to make tasty burgers. Meat lovers will love these, as the recipe calls for beef and sausage!


  • 2 pounds of lean ground beef
  • ½ pound of italian dry sausage
  • ½ large red onion, chopped
  • 2 anaheim chillies, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ lb muenster cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method of preparation:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, Italian sausage, chopped red onion, chopped Anaheim chili peppers, minced garlic, shredded Muenster cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Divide the mixture into equal portions and form each portion into a burger patty of the desired size and thickness. Make sure the patties are compact and hold together well.

Preheat your barbecue to medium heat. Oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 5-7 minutes per side or until cooked to your liking. Use an instant-read meat thermometer to ensure that the internal temperature of the burgers is at least 160°F (71°C).

While the burgers are cooking, you can prepare your favourite burger toppings and condiments such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.

When the burgers are cooked to perfection, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

Assemble your gourmet grill burgers by placing each burger patty on a bun and adding your choice of toppings and condiments.
