Breakfast Naans

The ingredients in this recipe provide a balanced meal. Eggs are a great source of protein, avocado provides healthy fats and the naan bread gives you the carbohydrates you need to start your day. Plus, the chilli and coriander add a fresh and spicy kick!


  • 1 tbsp vegetable or sunflower oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 small naan breads
  • 4 tbsp low fat cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp mango chutney
  • 1 avocado, halved and sliced
  • ½ lime, juiced
  • 1 green chilli
  • small handful of coriander, leaves picked

Method of preparation:

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and fry for 2-3 mins until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

Heat the naan breads in the oven or toaster. Spread 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese on each naan.

Spoon the mango chutney over the cream cheese.

Place the sliced avocado on top of the chutney. Squeeze the lime juice over the avocado to prevent it from browning.

Place the fried eggs on the avocado. Slice the green chilli and scatter over the eggs.

Finish with a sprinkling of coriander leaves.
