Baked Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes slices baked in the oven. A delicious side dish for meals, a great addition to a buffet, or a tasty snack on its own.

Ingredients:

  • Sweet potatoes (800 g)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh rosemary sprig or dried rosemary (1 teaspoon) or oregano (1 teaspoon)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Optional: Pinch of chili flakes or chili powder (to taste)

Preparation:

Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1 cm thick slices. Arrange them on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Season with salt, pepper, and (optional) a pinch of chili flakes or chili powder. Sprinkle with rosemary leaves or dried herbs. Drizzle with olive oil.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 25 minutes, or until tender and golden.
