This salsa is a fusion of textures and flavours, with the added kick of red onion and habanero pepper, all brightened by a splash of fresh lime juice. Coriander adds a touch of herbal freshness, making this salsa the perfect accompaniment to a variety of dishes.
Ingredients:
- 1 avocado – peeled, pitted and diced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 mango – peeled, cored and diced
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 1 habanero chilli, seeded and chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh coriander, chopped
- Salt to taste
Method of cooking:
Prepare the fruit: Dice the avocado and mango into small bite-sized pieces. Finely chop the red onion and habanero chilli. If you prefer less heat, you can reduce or omit the habanero.
Combine the ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the diced avocado, mango, chopped red onion and habanero chilli.
Add flavour: Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. Add the chopped fresh coriander and salt to taste.
Mix gently: Stir gently to combine without mashing the avocado.
Chill and serve: For best flavour, chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.
