Apple Chips

Apple chips are the perfect snack for a party or movie night. Give them a try!


  • Powdered sugar – 100 g
  • Red apples – 4 pcs.
  • Lemon juice – 50 ml

Gooseberry-Strawberry Sauce

  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Gooseberries – 100 g
  • Potato starch – 1 teaspoon
  • Strawberries – 100 g
  • Water – 30 ml


Step 1: Slice the Apples Wash the apples thoroughly, remove the cores, and slice them into 4 mm thick slices. Drizzle lemon juice over them. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the sliced apples on it. Using a very fine sieve, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.

Step 2: Bake the Apples Place the apples in an oven preheated to 140°C (convection) or 150°C (without convection) for about 20 minutes. After this time, remove the baking sheet, flip the apple slices over, sprinkle with powdered sugar again, and then bake for about 40 minutes (if you find that the apples are not dry enough after this time, leave them in the oven for a few more minutes).

Step 3: Prepare the Gooseberry-Strawberry Sauce Wash the gooseberries and strawberries thoroughly, then blend them together with sugar. Transfer the blended fruits to a saucepan, bring to a boil. Mix potato starch with water to make a slurry, then pour it into the boiling fruit mixture. Stir vigorously and bring to a boil. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and let it cool.

Serve the cooled and crispy apple chips with the chilled gooseberry-strawberry sauce.
