Affogato with pistachio ice cream

A simple and quick recipe for a coffee dessert made with strongly brewed coffee, pistachio ice cream, and salted caramel. Try this amazing combination!


Caramel sauce

  • Brown sugar, 75g
  • Butter, 10g
  • Salt, a pinch
  • Heavy cream (30%), 60g


  • Ground coffee, 1 teaspoon
  • Water, 100ml


  • Pistachio ice cream, 75g


Place all the ingredients for the caramel sauce in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens. Transfer to a jar. Brew the coffee – preferably in a coffee maker or with a drip method.

Transfer desired amount of caramel sauce to a glass, then add the ice cream and pour in the hot coffee.
