Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Mascarpone Sauce

A delicious Italian-style dish! Mascarpone cheese combines perfectly with the other ingredients to create an ideal composition.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil – 5 g
  • Chicken broth – 300 ml
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Sun-dried tomatoes – 10 pieces
  • Mascarpone cheese – 250 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • White wine – 100 ml
  • Black Forest ham – 150 g
  • Pappardelle pasta – 500 g

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Cook the pasta al dente in salted water. Meanwhile, chop the sun-dried tomatoes into thin strips and dice the ham into small pieces.

Step 2: Sauté the Ingredients

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon of the sun-dried tomato oil into a heated pan, then add the chopped ham and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté until the ham is browned.

Step 3: Prepare the Sauce

  1. Next, pour in the chicken broth and white wine. Heat the mixture. Once the sauce starts to simmer, add the mascarpone cheese and stir until the cheese melts. Keep on the heat for a few more minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.

Step 4: Combine the Pasta with the Sauce

  1. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the sauce. Mix everything together before serving.

Step 5: Serve the Dish

  1. Transfer the pasta to plates and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
