Sizzle up your mealtime with Grilled Jalapeño Tuna Steaks. This recipe is a fiery treat that combines the rich flavour of Ahi tuna with the bold flavours of jalapeño and lime. Quick to prepare and perfect for the barbecue season, these tuna steaks add a spicy twist to your seafood favourites.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1 jalapeño pepper, minced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 pound ahi tuna steaks
Method of preparation:
In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, minced jalapeño and garlic. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add the tuna steaks to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the barbecue to high heat. When hot, lightly oil the grid.
Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade, shake off any excess marinade and place on the hot barbecue.
Grill the tuna steaks for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium rare, or until cooked to your liking.
