White Cheese & Garlic Pizza

White Cheese & Garlic Pizza

Whispers of garlic dance through the air, tantalising your senses as you step into the kitchen. The oven hums with anticipation, ready to transform humble naan into a canvas of cheesy delight. Brace yourself for a symphony of flavours – a crescendo of mozzarella, a dollop of ricotta and a sprinkling of Parmesan.

Ingredients:

  • 4 small pieces of naan (or your choice of pizza base)
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese (or grated pizza blend cheese)
  • 4 ounces ricotta cheese (about 1 small cup)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons italian herbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (to serve)
  • fresh basil leaves (optional garnish)

Method of preparation:

Mix the olive oil with the minced garlic and set aside for about 10 minutes to infuse the oil with flavour.

Lay out your chosen pizza base (naan or other) on a pizza tray. If you are using naan, you can use it as is.

Spread the garlic-infused oil evenly over the base.

Sprinkle a layer of Parmesan cheese over the garlic oil.

Follow with a layer of shredded mozzarella, leaving a rim around the crust for gripping.

Spread the ricotta evenly over the pizza.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the crust is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.

Sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese if desired.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
