Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
- Cocoa powder – 0.3 cup
- Baking powder – 2 teaspoons
- Salt – a pinch
- Medjool dates – 6 pieces
- Oat milk – 1 cup
- Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
Chocolate cream
- Medjool dates – 5 pieces
- Cocoa powder – 3 tablespoons
- Oat milk – 2 tablespoons
- Banana – 0.5 piece
Decoration
- Pistachios – a handful
- Candied orange peel – 4 tablespoons
- Raspberry – 10 pieces
Preparation
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt through a fine-mesh sieve. Mix the prepared ingredients. Remove pits from the Medjool dates. Transfer them to a tall container, add oat milk, vanilla extract, and olive oil, and blend until smooth.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ones and mix thoroughly. Transfer the ready dough to a pastry bag, cut off the tip, and squeeze the donuts into the donut maker. Bake for about 5 minutes and repeat the process until all the dough is used. Gently cool the finished donuts.
Place the cream ingredients in a tall container and blend until smooth. Finely chop the pistachios. Spread chocolate cream on each donut and decorate with various toppings.
