Vegan Coffee Cake with Pears

Coffee cake is very spectacular and incredibly tasty. Vegan coffee cake with pears! It fits any time of day and year. It prepares very quickly, be sure to try it out!

Ingredients

Cake:

  • Brown sugar – 1.5 slightly less than a cup
  • Water – 1.75 slightly less than a cup
  • Cocoa powder – 0.5 slightly less than a cup
  • Instant coffee – 1 tablespoon
  • All-purpose flour – 3 slightly less than a cup
  • Vinegar – 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil – 0.75 slightly less than a cup
  • Baking soda – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

Additionally:

  • Pears – 4 pieces
  • Black sesame seeds – 30 g

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Pears

  • Peel the pears, leaving the woody stem for decoration. Cut off 1 cm from the bottom of each pear to ensure stability.

Step 2: Combine the Ingredients

  • In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (except sesame seeds). In another bowl, combine water, coffee, olive oil, and vinegar. Then thoroughly mix the contents of both bowls.

Step 3: Transfer the Batter and Pears to the Pan

  • Transfer the batter to a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Press the prepared pears into the center of the batter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for about 60 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C.
