Vanilla-Chocolate Steamed Bundt Cake

A unique way to make a delicious bundt cake without baking! Serve it with vanilla glaze and candied fruits.


  • Sugar, 150 g
  • Egg, 6 pcs
  • Cocoa powder, 10 g
  • Butter, 260 g
  • Baking powder, 2 tsp
  • Vanilla, 6 g
  • Vodka, 15 ml
  • Vanilla pudding powder, 120 g
  • Candied cherries, 50 g
  • Wheat flour, 200 g
  • Vanilla glaze, 100 g


Cream the butter, sugar, and seeds from the vanilla beans until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, vanilla pudding powder, and flour mixed with baking powder. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. At the end, add the vodka.

Divide the batter into three parts. Add cocoa powder to one part and mix well.

Grease a 17 cm diameter and 17 cm height steamed bundt cake mold with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Layer the batter in the mold: start with the plain batter, then the cocoa batter, and finish with the plain batter. Close the mold and place it in a pot with water (the water should reach 3/4 of the height of the mold). Steam on low heat for about 90 minutes. Remove the cake from the mold immediately after steaming and let it cool.


Pour vanilla glaze over the cake and decorate with candied fruits.
