Tender meat in sauce with potatoes – the perfect choice for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Seasoning mix: 1 tablespoon
- Sweet paprika: 1 tablespoon
- Whole allspice: 2 pieces
- Dried bay leaves: 2 pieces
- Rapeseed oil: 1/4 cup
- Chicken broth: 8 cups
- Multifloral honey: 1 tablespoon
- Sweet cream: 1/2 cup
- All-purpose flour: 3 tablespoons
- Onions: 2 pieces
- Garlic: 6 cloves
- Braised carrots: as needed
- Boiled potatoes: as needed
- Turkey leg: 1.2 kg
- Ground black pepper: 1 tablespoon
Preparation
- Season the turkey leg with Kucharek seasoning mix, black pepper, and sweet paprika.
- Brown the turkey leg in hot oil, add allspice and bay leaves.
- Pour in the chicken broth or water, add onions and garlic, and simmer covered until the meat is tender.
- Towards the end of cooking, add a heaped tablespoon of multifloral honey and simmer covered for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the meat and cut into portions. Mix sweet cream with flour and thicken the sauce by stirring.
- Cook the carrots in a small amount of water with butter and salt. When the carrots are cooked, sprinkle in a teaspoon of flour and quickly stir to thicken.
- Serve the turkey with mashed potatoes, carrots, pour over the sauce, and sprinkle with parsley.
