Ingredients
- Fresh basil – 12 g
- Onion – 1 piece
- Black pepper – a pinch
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
- Salt – a pinch
- Canned chopped tomatoes – 800 g
- Tortelloni – 500 g
- Garlic cloves – 3 pieces
Preparation
In a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat the olive oil. Add chopped garlic and finely chopped onion. Sauté until the vegetables are translucent, then add the chopped tomatoes. Mix well.
Chop the basil and add it to the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil, add the tortelloni, and cook until tender. Drain and transfer to a plate.
Serving Pour the tomato sauce over the tortelloni and garnish with basil leaves.
