Tomato Carpaccio

During the summer, you can make carpaccio with tomatoes! With crispy toast and goat cheese, it will be an excellent snack!

Ingredients

  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Cherry tomatoes – 200 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Fresh thyme – 20 g
  • Baguette – 120 g
  • Beefsteak tomato – 300 g
  • Goat cheese – 160 g
  • Garlic clove – 1 piece

Preparation

Step 1: Slice the Vegetables Clean and slice the beefsteak tomatoes into very thin slices. Arrange them on four plates. Peel and thinly slice the onion, then place on top of the tomato slices. Clean, wash, and dice the cherry tomatoes into small pieces. Spread them over the prepared tomato slices and onion rings. Wash the thyme, shake it dry, pluck off the leaves, and sprinkle them over the tomatoes. Season the carpaccio with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil.

Step 2: Sauté the Baguette Peel and halve the garlic clove. Sauté the baguette slices in hot butter on both sides. Then, rub one side with the halved garlic clove. Slice the goat cheese thinly and arrange it on the baguette slices. Drizzle with honey and season with pepper. Serve with the carpaccio.
