Spicy Spare Ribs

No barbecue is complete without ribs! Try our very tasty and spicy version.

Ingredients

  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Bay leaves – 3 pieces
  • Ketchup – 240 g
  • Honey – 110 g
  • Balsamic vinegar – 80 ml
  • Mustard – 3 teaspoons
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Garlic cloves – 4 pieces
  • Soy sauce – 125 g
  • Black peppercorns – 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh pork ribs – 2 kg

Preparation

  1. Pour water over the ribs, bring to a boil for about 30 minutes, add bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Remove the ribs, cool, and use the broth for cooking, for example, soup.
  2. Mix the marinade ingredients thoroughly. Place the ribs in a large bowl or a sealed bag, add the marinade, and coat the ribs well, ensuring the meat is evenly covered.
  3. Remove the ribs from the marinade, shake off excess, place on the grill, and grill, turning occasionally and basting with the marinade until the meat is browned.
