Mexican tomato salsa with spicy pepper, cilantro, onion, and lime. A simple recipe you won’t be able to resist. That’s pico de gallo.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes, 500 g
- Jalapeño pepper (fresh or pickled), 1/2
- Onion, 1/2
- Cilantro leaves, 1/2 cup
- Lime juice, 2 tbsp
Preparation
Cut the tomatoes into quarters, remove the stems and seeds. Dice the flesh into small cubes and place in a bowl. Slice the jalapeño pepper lengthwise, remove the seeds, and finely chop it.
Peel the onion and also dice it. Chop the cilantro and add it along with the pepper and onion to the tomatoes. Drizzle with lime juice and mix well.
