Prepare pate burgers with homemade coleslaw! Perfect for a mid-morning snack at school or work!
Ingredients
Coleslaw
- White cabbage – 200 g
- Carrot – 1 piece
- Spring onion – 1 piece
- Lemon – 0.5 piece
- Natural yogurt – 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise – 60 g
- Honey – 0.5 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 1 pinch
- Salt – 1 pinch
Burger
- Kaiser roll – 4 pieces
- Pork pate – 120 g
- Mustard – 50 g
Preparation
Step 1: Chop the Vegetables Clean the cabbage and remove the core. Shred or thinly slice the cabbage leaves. Lightly pound or knead the cabbage. Peel the carrot and grate it. Clean the spring onion and slice it into thin rings.
Step 2: Combine Coleslaw Ingredients Mix the mayonnaise, yogurt, and honey. Season with salt, pepper, and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix with the prepared vegetables and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors meld.
Step 3: Assemble the Burgers Fry the pate in hot oil for about 2 minutes on each side. Cut the rolls and thinly spread mustard on them. Place the pâté on the bottom halves of the rolls. Season the coleslaw to taste, distribute it over the pate slices, and cover with the top halves of the rolls.
