Pancakes

American IHOP Basic Pancakes – they taste and look like the originals served in the United States.

Ingredients

Original American Pancakes

  • 1 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 and 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • Pinch of salt

Milk Pancakes

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 75 g melted butter
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

Original American Pancakes

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth, with a thick cream consistency.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and fry the pancakes on both sides. Serve with maple syrup, butter, or sugar.

Milk Pancakes

  1. Sift the flour. Beat the eggs and mix them with the milk, then combine with the remaining ingredients, adding the butter last. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Fry on a dry non-stick pan over medium heat, without additional fat, to allow the batter to rise. Carefully flip to the other side using a wide spatula.
