Ingredients
Original American Pancakes
- 1 and 1/4 cups flour
- 1 egg
- 1 and 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Pinch of salt
Milk Pancakes
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 cups milk
- 75 g melted butter
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
Original American Pancakes
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth, with a thick cream consistency.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and fry the pancakes on both sides. Serve with maple syrup, butter, or sugar.
Milk Pancakes
- Sift the flour. Beat the eggs and mix them with the milk, then combine with the remaining ingredients, adding the butter last. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Fry on a dry non-stick pan over medium heat, without additional fat, to allow the batter to rise. Carefully flip to the other side using a wide spatula.
