Ingredients

  • Puff pastry – 1 sheet
  • Garlic clove – 1 piece
  • Ground nutmeg – 0.33 teaspoon
  • Frozen spinach leaves – 110 g
  • Parmesan cheese – 50 g
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Mascarpone cheese – 200 g
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Sun-dried tomatoes – 5 pieces

Preparation

Preparing the Filling Grate the Parmesan cheese using a fine grater. Thoroughly drain the spinach and mix it in a bowl with mascarpone cheese, crushed garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, ground nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.

Step 2: Fill the Puff Pastry Unroll the puff pastry sheet and spread the filling evenly over the entire surface. Roll up the pastry along the longer edges from both sides so that both rolls meet in the middle. Cut the roll into pieces about 1 cm thick.

Step 3: Bake the Palmiers Transfer the palmiers to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve while still warm.
