This recipe is easy to make and sure to impress. It features succulent pork chops cooked with fresh mushrooms and a creamy mushroom soup. The addition of onions adds a nice touch of sweetness.
Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 pinch of garlic salt, or to taste
- ½lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 10.75 ounce tin of condensed mushroom soup
Preparation:
Season pork chops to taste with salt, black pepper and garlic salt.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chops until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
Remove the chops from the pan and set aside.
In the same frying pan, add the sliced mushrooms and chopped onion. Cook until the onion is translucent and the mushrooms are lightly browned.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, making sure to scrape the bottom of the pan to incorporate all the flavours.
Return the chops to the pan and cover with the soup mixture.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until the chops are cooked through.
