Raw Hummus


Experience the fresh, healthy flavours of Raw Hummus. Made with chickpeas, tahini, sea salt, lemon juice and garlic, this hummus is a healthy and delicious snack.


  • 1 ½ cups dried chick peas
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed or to taste
  • 1 cup filtered or spring water
  • 1 pinch of paprika

Method of preparation:

Place the dry chickpeas in a large bowl and cover with several inches of cold water. Leave to soak overnight, then drain. Alternatively, you can soak them quickly by bringing them to the boil for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and leave to soak for an hour, then drain.

In a food processor, combine the soaked and drained chickpeas, tahini, sea salt, lemon juice, crushed garlic and half of the filtered water. Blend until smooth.

Add more water if necessary to achieve the desired consistency. The hummus should be creamy and smooth, but not too runny.

Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with paprika before serving.
