Homemade Wild Boar Goulash

Wild boar goulash is a dish not only for hunters. High-quality game meat can sometimes be “hunted” in nearby supermarkets. If the opportunity arises to purchase it, seize it! With this recipe, you will learn how to make excellent wild boar goulash using a tried-and-true homemade method.


  • Wild boar meat, 600 g
  • Onion, 1 piece
  • Garlic, 4 cloves
  • Flour, 2 tablespoons
  • Fine-grain iodized sea salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Beef bouillon cube, 1 piece
  • Dried bay leaves, 3 pieces
  • Whole allspice, 2 pieces


  1. Wash the meat and cut it into small cubes.
  2. Drizzle the meat with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add crushed garlic and diced onion.
  3. Mix all the ingredients and refrigerate for 3 hours to marinate the meat.
  4. Sear the meat in a hot frying pan.
  5. Add water, beef bouillon cube, bay leaves, and allspice.
  6. When the meat is tender, thicken the sauce with flour mixed with cold water and season to taste.
  7. Serve with buckwheat and coleslaw.
