Crescents with cottage cheese are a very simple dessert that you can prepare in no time. They can be a great alternative to yeast rolls with white cheese, but without the need for kneading yeast dough and long waiting times. Be sure to try them!
Ingredients
Dough:
- Puff pastry (1 package)
Filling:
- Cottage cheese (250 grams)
- Egg yolk (1 piece)
- Sugar (2 tablespoons)
Additionally:
- Egg white (1 piece)
- Sugar (1-2 tablespoons)
Preparation
- Cut the puff pastry into 6 large squares. Make 2-3 cuts in one corner.
- Transfer the cottage cheese to a bowl, add sugar and egg yolk, mix thoroughly.
- Spread the filling on half of the dough, cover with the cut corner, and seal.
- Brush the top of the dough with beaten egg white, sprinkle with sugar.
- Place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
