Delicious and crispy croquettes with pave cheese, perfect as a snack for a party or a great addition to a salad.
Ingredients
- Bread crumbs – 100 g
- Ground nutmeg – 1 pinch
- Egg – 1 piece
- Butter – 50 g
- All-purpose flour – 85 g
- Whole milk (3.2%) – 180 ml
- Sunflower oil – 2 tablespoons
- Pistachios – 40 g
- Pave cheese – 150 g
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Chives – 24 g
Preparation:
Step 1: Prepare the Cheese Mixture Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add flour and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Then pour in the milk, add the chopped cheese into smaller pieces, as well as nutmeg and salt. Cook for another 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Finely chop the pistachios and chives, add them to the mixture, and mix well. Cook the mixture over low heat until thickened. When the mixture reaches the desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool.
Step 2: Shape the Croquettes From the cooled mixture, shape the croquettes the size of a walnut.
Step 3: Fry the Croquettes Heat enough sunflower oil in a deep frying pan to immerse the croquettes halfway. Coat the croquettes in beaten egg and breadcrumbs, then fry until golden brown.
