You can make a batch of these Cookie Balls in a jiffy and they’re perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a party, a family get-together or just a treat for yourself. Plus, the joy of making something delicious with your own hands is always rewarding.
Ingredients:
1 pound chocolate sandwich biscuits, crushed
1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
1 pound vanilla flavoured chocolate coating, melted
Method of preparation:
Prepare the cookies: Place the Chocolate Sandwich Cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. If you don’t have a food processor, you can put the cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
Mix: In a large bowl, combine the crushed cookies with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined. The mixture should be moist enough to roll into balls.
Shape: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill: Place the baking sheet in the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up the balls.
Coat: Once the balls have cooled, melt the vanilla flavoured chocolate coating according to the package instructions. Dip each ball in the melted coating, making sure it’s completely covered.
Decorate (optional): If desired, decorate the balls with sprinkles or chocolate jimmies while the coating is still wet.
Set: Place the coated balls back on the baking paper and allow the coating to set. This can take up to 15 minutes at room temperature, or you can speed up the process by placing them in the fridge.
