Chocolate Pear Cake

A quick-to-prepare chocolate cake with pears.


  • Eggs, 2 pieces
  • Wheat flour, 200 g
  • Cocoa powder, 40 g
  • Sugar, 120 g
  • Pears, 2 pieces
  • Baking powder, 1.5 teaspoons
  • Baking soda, 0.7 teaspoons
  • Oil, 120 ml
  • Greek yogurt, 125 g


Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Mix the ingredients well.

Step 2: Beat Eggs with Sugar and Oil In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add sugar. Cover the bowl, attach the mixer, and beat the ingredients for 3 minutes at level 4 speed. While beating, gradually add the oil through the opening in the cover.

Step 3: Add Yogurt To the beaten eggs with sugar and oil, add Greek yogurt and mix again for 1 minute at level 4 speed.

Step 4: Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and beat everything together for 3 minutes at level 4 speed.

Step 5: Transfer the Batter to the Cake Pan Peel and core the pears, then slice them. Line the bottom of the cake pan with parchment paper and lightly grease the edges with oil. Pour the batter into the cake pan and arrange the pear slices on top.

Step 6: Bake and Serve the Cake Bake the cake at 180°C for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Serve the cake cooled.
