Ingredients – cake

  • All-purpose flour – 300 g
  • Sugar – 180 g
  • Butter – 180 g
  • Dark chocolate – 180 g
  • Chocolate hazelnut spread – 80 g
  • Cocoa powder – 60 g
  • Whole milk – 60 ml
  • Eggs – 4
  • Baking powder – 5 g
  • Baking soda – 2.5 g

Ingredients – glaze

  • Butter – 40 g
  • Dark chocolate – 100 g

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Melt the chocolate in a saucepan. Take the butter out of the fridge to bring it to room temperature. Heat the milk.

In a bowl, place the eggs and beat them with a mixer on high speed. The mixture should become fluffy and light in color. This is an important step that gives the cake the right structure and lightness. Gradually add sugar while continuing to mix at medium speed. Once the sugar is well incorporated, add the softened butter. Continue mixing until you achieve a homogeneous consistency.

Add the previously melted and cooled chocolate to the mixture. Gently mix to combine the chocolate with the other ingredients. In a separate bowl, sift the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while stirring simultaneously to avoid lumps. Next, add the chocolate hazelnut spread and warm milk to the batter. Mix everything thoroughly to achieve a smooth consistency.

Grease the bundt cake pan with butter and dust it with flour. Then transfer the chocolate batter into the prepared pan and close it. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about an hour. The bundt cake is ready when a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out dry.

In a saucepan, melt the butter together with the dark chocolate, then mix until smooth. Let the glaze cool slightly. Cool the cake outside of the oven and remove it from the pan. Decorate the bundt cake with the chocolate glaze, pouring it over the top of the cake.
