Ingredients:
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon dry ranch dressing (such as Hidden Valley Ranch®)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces, or more to taste
Method of preparation:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly grease or line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Wash the cauliflower head and cut into florets, discarding the tough stalk.
Cook the cauliflower florets in a large pan of boiling water for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain well and pat dry with kitchen paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked cauliflower florets, sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, dry ranch dressing, onion powder and garlic powder. Toss until the cauliflower is evenly coated with the other ingredients.
Transfer the loaded cauliflower mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly.
Sprinkle small pieces of butter over the top of the cauliflower mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the cauliflower is heated through.
Remove the loaded cauliflower from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Garnish with additional grated cheddar or chopped fresh herbs if desired.
