Light and fluffy banana bread, perfect as a sweet treat for afternoon coffee or tea. It will be enjoyed not only by the youngest ones!
Ingredients
- Bananas – 3 pcs.
- Sugar – 150 g
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Wheat flour – 240 g
- Sunflower oil – 85 ml
- Walnuts – 120 g
- Baking soda – 1 teaspoon
Preparation
Mash the bananas with a fork. Sift the flour together with the baking soda.
In a large bowl, pour the fat (if using butter, melt it and wait a moment for it to cool slightly before using, so it’s warm, not hot), add the mashed bananas, sugar, and beaten egg. Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon until all ingredients are combined. Finally, add chopped walnuts and mix again.
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Transfer the batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper or greased with butter and dusted with breadcrumbs. Pour in the batter, smooth the surface, and place it in the oven. Bake for about 60 minutes. Before removing, check with a toothpick to see if the cake is baked through.
