Steamed turkey meatballs are a healthy meal for the whole family. Cut down on unhealthy fats and prepare a delicious dish.
Ingredients
- kale, 70 g
- turkey breast fillets (or cutlets), 200 g
- grated ginger, 1 teaspoon
- soy sauce, 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil, 1 teaspoon
- chives, 1 tablespoon
- egg white from a small egg (optional)
- corn or potato starch, 1 teaspoon
Preparation
Rinse and chop the kale, then steam it for about 5 minutes. If you bought kale leaves, rinse them, remove the soft leaves from the tough central stem, weigh out 70 g, and steam. Chop the steamed kale finely or pulse in a food processor, and let it cool.
Finely chop the turkey on a board, place it in a bowl, and add the kale, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, chives, a pinch of finely ground pepper, and the egg white if using. Mix well, then add the starch and mix again. Form the mixture into 6 balls.
Place the meatballs in a steamer basket over boiling water, cover, and steam for about 8 minutes. If unsure if the meat is cooked, cut one meatball open to check that the meat is set in the center. Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil.
