Mozzacado Balls

Made with just a handful of ingredients, these balls offer a simple yet satisfying taste experience. The combination of macadamias and nutritional yeast provides a cheesy flavour, while the avocado adds a buttery texture. They’re perfect as a snack, part of a salad or as an innovative starter.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons macadamias
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 avocados

Method of cooking:

In a food processor, blend the macadamias, nutritional yeast and salt until you have a fine, crumbly texture. This will be your ‘cheese’ base.

Peel and deseed the avocados. In a bowl, mash the avocados until smooth.

Combine the avocado with the macadamia ‘cheese’ mixture and mix well.

Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls about the size of a cherry tomato.

Place the balls on a plate and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
