Sushi in sandwich form? Yes, indeed! Onigirazu is a Japanese snack, perfect for lunch. See how easy it is to prepare!
Ingredients
- Sushi rice: 250 g
- Rice vinegar: 50 ml
- Sugar: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: 0.5 teaspoon
- Smoked tofu: 180 g
- Soy sauce: 6 teaspoons
- Sweet potato: 2 pieces
- Avocado: 1 piece
- Nori seaweed sheets: 6 pieces
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sweet Potatoes, Tofu, and Avocado Slice the cooked sweet potatoes and smoked tofu. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, scoop out the flesh, and slice it.
Step 2: Assemble the Sandwiches Lay out the nori seaweed sheets on a cutting board. Place a portion of rice in the center of each sheet and shape it into a patty. Then, layer a slice of tofu, sweet potato, and avocado on top of the rice. Finally, add another portion of rice on top. Moisten the edges of the nori and fold them over – first the longer ends, then the shorter ones. Slice the completed sandwiches in half.
