Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 300 g
- Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda – 1 teaspoon
- Eggs – 4
- Canola oil – 150 ml
- Sugar – 140 g
- Cocoa powder – 2 tablespoons
- Red apple – 600 g
- Walnuts – 100 g
- Powdered sugar – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
Step 1: Preparing the Apples and Walnuts Peel the apples, remove the cores, and dice them. Chop the walnuts. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Combining Wet and Dry Ingredients In a mixer bowl, beat the eggs with sugar for 5 minutes. While still beating, add the oil. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, continuing to beat.
Step 3: Baking the Cake Once the ingredients are combined, add the diced apples and walnuts. Mix all ingredients with a spatula. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
