These cheese pinwheels can be served in a variety of ways. They make a great party starter, a delicious movie night snack or even a quick breakfast on the go.
Ingredients:
- ½ (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 (8 ounce) carton cream cheese with herbs
- 6 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
Method of preparation:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the defrosted puff pastry into a rectangle.
Spread the herb cream cheese evenly over the pastry.
Place the slices of Swiss cheese on top of the cream cheese, covering as much of the surface as possible.
Starting at one of the shorter ends of the rectangle, roll the pastry tightly like a jelly roll.
Cut the roll into 1/2 inch thick pinwheels and arrange on the prepared baking tray.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and puffed.
