Vintage Lemonade

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best. Especially when you want to make a tasty, refreshing drink to quench your thirst. Serve this lemonade to your guests and they will be back for more.

Ingredients:

  • 5 lemons
  • 1 ¼ cups white sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups water

Method of preparation:

Prepare the lemons: Roll each lemon on the worktop with the palm of your hand to loosen the juice inside. Then cut the lemons in half and squeeze out all the juice. You should end up with about 1 cup of lemon juice.

Make the sugar syrup: Put the sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.

Combine and serve: In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, syrup and remaining water. Stir well. Taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve: Serve the lemonade over ice and enjoy!

Remember, the key to a great lemonade is balance. Adjust the sugar and lemon juice to find the perfect combination of sweet and tart.
