Vegetarian Hot Dogs

Looking for an alternative to classic hot dogs? Prepare them in a vegetarian version! They’re just as delicious!


  • Hot dog buns – 4 pcs.
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Mustard – 2 tablespoons
  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Fried onions – 4 tablespoons
  • Arugula – 20 g
  • Barbecue sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Vegan sausages – 400 g
  • Cucumber – 1 pc.


Step 1: Sauté the onion Peel the onion, cut it in half, and then into thin strips. Heat the oil in a pan and briefly sauté the onion. Remove it from the pan.

Step 2: Prepare the cucumber and arugula Wash the cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Wash and dry the arugula.

Step 3: Grill the sausages Grill the vegan sausages over medium heat on each side. Also, lightly toast the hot dog buns on the grill.

Step 4: Assemble all ingredients Cut the buns in half lengthwise. In each bun, place in order: arugula, sausages, cucumber slices, mustard, fried onions, barbecue sauce, and coleslaw.
