Two-minute breakfast smoothie

The banana provides potassium and the oats are a great source of fibre. The soft fruit adds a variety of vitamins and antioxidants, and the milk provides protein and calcium. It’s a balanced, nutritious way to start the day. This recipe takes just two minutes to make, making it perfect for busy mornings when you’re short on time.


  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal
  • 80g soft fruit (whatever you have – strawberries, blueberries and mango all work well)
  • 150ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method of preparation:

Peel the banana and put into a blender.

Add the oatmeal to the blender.

Add the soft fruit of your choice. This could be strawberries, blueberries, mango or any other soft fruit you have on hand.

Pour in the milk.

Add the honey and vanilla extract to the mixer.

Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
