Sweet and Spicy Turkey Sandwich

The perfect quick lunch that’s both comforting and exciting, this sandwich offers a gourmet twist on a classic favourite. It’s where the warmth of roasted turkey meets the spicy kick of pepperjack cheese, all balanced by the unexpected sweetness of strawberry jam.


  • 2 slices (1/2 inch thick) hearty country bread
  • 4 slices roast turkey breast
  • 1 slice of pepperjack cheese
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 4 teaspoons strawberry jam

Method of preparation:

Heat a small frying pan over medium heat.

Spread 1 teaspoon butter on each side of each slice of bread.

Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the pan.

Place the slices of turkey and pepper jack cheese on top of the bread in the pan.

Place the second slice of bread, buttered side up, on top.

Cook until the first side is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for 3 to 5 minutes per side or until the cheese begins to melt.

Remove the sandwich from the pan and spread the strawberry jam on the inside of the top slice of bread.

Close the sandwich, slice as desired and serve warm.
