Pumpkin Spice Protein Drink

You can easily adapt this recipe to suit your dietary needs or taste preferences. Use different types of milk, add more spices or add extra toppings like granola or nuts for extra texture. Packed with vitamins and minerals from the pumpkin, natural sweetness from the bananas and dates, and a protein boost from the powder, this drink is a nutritional powerhouse.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 bananas, sliced and frozen
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 dates, stoned
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 pinch of ground ginger

Method of preparation:

Place the almond milk, frozen banana slices, tinned pumpkin and stoned dates in a blender.

Add the scoop of vanilla protein powder.

Add the vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger.

Blend until smooth and creamy.

Taste and adjust the spices to taste. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more dates or a sweetener of your choice.

Pour into a glass and enjoy straight away or chill in the fridge for a refreshing cold drink.
