We all love and know warm sandwiches, but puccia stands out among them with its exceptional taste. Salami, burrata, and basil salad enclosed between crispy pieces of Italian-style bread make a wonderful composition for breakfast or lunch!
Ingredients
- Olive oil – 2 teaspoons
- Salami sausage – 8 slices
- Burrata – 0.5 piece
- Puccia bread – 2 pieces
Basil salad
- Fresh basil – 1 bunch
- Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
- Balsamic vinegar – 0.25 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Red pepper – 1 teaspoon
Preparation
Slice the puccia bread in half lengthwise, drizzle both halves with olive oil, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Toast for about 5 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C until they turn golden brown.
In a small bowl, combine olive oil with balsamic vinegar, salt, and lightly crushed red pepper. Add basil and mix well. On the bottom half of the toasted puccia bread, place half of the prepared burrata, followed by 4 slices of salami. Arrange the basil salad on top of the salami layer. Cover with the top half of the toasted puccia bread. Repeat the process for the second sandwich.
