Pomelo Salad

Surprise your taste buds with this citrusy salad featuring refreshing pomelo, sweet coconut flakes, and crunchy peanuts.



  • Red chili pepper – 1 piece
  • Date syrup – 10 ml
  • Lime juice – 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons


  • Pomelo – 1 piece
  • Coconut flakes – 4 tablespoons
  • Unsalted peanuts – 60 g
  • Shallot – 0.5 piece
  • Fresh mint – 2 handfuls
  • Lemongrass – 1 piece


Dressing: Finely chop the chili pepper. Then, place it along with the remaining dressing ingredients in a mortar and pestle and grind until a fairly uniform sauce is formed.


Step 1: Toasting Coconut Flakes In a hot pan, briefly toast the coconut flakes until they turn slightly golden, then set them aside to cool.

Step 2: Preparing the Remaining Ingredients Peel and segment the pomelo. Chop the peanuts and mint. Lightly crush the lemongrass with a pestle and finely chop it. Slice the shallot into fairly thin rings.

Step 3: Assembling the Salad Transfer all the salad ingredients to a bowl and drizzle with the dressing. Then, thoroughly mix the salad and serve it with your favorite accompaniments.
