Penne Pasta with Chicken and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

A simple recipe for penne pasta with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. The ingredients are combined with a creamy sauce seasoned with basil and oregano. Delicious!


  • Penne pasta – 350 grams
  • Chicken breast fillet – 1 piece
  • Sun-dried tomatoes – 10 pieces
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Heavy cream – 200 milliliters
  • Sun-dried tomato oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Fine-grain iodized sea salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Dried basil – 1/2 teaspoon

For garnish

  • Fresh basil – a few leaves
  • Fresh oregano – a few sprigs


  1. Cook the penne pasta al dente in salted boiling water, then drain.
  2. Cut the chicken breast fillet into strips, season with salt and pepper, then sauté in the oil from the sun-dried tomatoes.
  3. Add the sliced sun-dried tomatoes and chopped garlic to the sautéed chicken. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer over low heat until the sauce becomes creamy and thick. Season with herbs, salt, and pepper to taste, if needed.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and heat for a moment.
  6. Serve the dish on plates and garnish with fresh basil and, optionally, grated Parmesan cheese.
