A recipe for a mix of whisky with orange juice, with an interesting addition of Triple Sec liqueur. Half of this drink is pure whisky, so the alcohol is quite noticeable.
Ingredients (in a lowball glass)
- Whisky – 50 ml
- Triple Sec liqueur – 20 ml
- Orange juice – 30 ml
- Ice cubes
Preparation
- Place a few ice cubes into a shaker.
- Pour in the remaining ingredients and shake well.
- Strain into a lowball glass like an Old Fashioned glass, preferably straining out any remaining ice cubes from the shaker (to avoid further diluting the mixture), and fill the glass itself with 2-3 ice cubes.
- Optionally, garnish the glass with a piece of orange.
