Marinated Mozzarella

Marinated Mozzarella

Cheese balls bathed in a marinade of herbs, lime, and olive oil. Aromatic and flavorful addition to bread or salads.

Ingredients

  • Red chili pepper – 2 pieces
  • Garlic cloves – 3 pieces
  • Mozzarella – 2 pieces
  • Olive oil – 125 ml
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Fresh rosemary – 8 g
  • Lime – 1 piece
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Fresh thyme – 15 g
  • Herbes de Provence – 1 teaspoon

Preparation

Slice the garlic cloves. Cut the chili pepper into thin slices. Drain the mozzarella from the brine. Chop the thyme. Layer the ingredients in a jar, each layer sprinkled with herbs and lime zest. Pour olive oil over everything. Set aside in the refrigerator for a day, preferably 2-3 days.
