Aromatic and refreshing, the Gin Basil Smash cocktail was created by Jorg Meyer at the Le Lion cocktail bar in Hamburg in 2008.
Ingredients
- Handful of basil leaves
- Half a lemon
- 20 ml sugar syrup
- 40 ml good quality gin
Preparation
- In a shaker, muddle basil leaves and half a lemon thoroughly. Add sugar syrup and gin, then fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously, then strain into a glass over ice.
- Serve and enjoy!
